Glass Appearance?



The majority of glass supplied is hand made and has natural seeds, cords and variations in tone. This variation, and the fact that every item is hand made and is part of the unique characteristics of each individual piece of glass.

Is the glass you supply safety glass?



Most glass supplied by Knowsley Art Glass Ltd is toughened to comply with current safety laws in doors and door-sides. Some of the glass we supply is applied to 6mm thick float this complies with current regulations on widths upto 249mm. Stained glass leaded-lights comply with current safety regulations also as all the pieces that are in these panels are too small to harm anyone when broken. However for further information regarding the use of safety glass you can visit www.planningportal.gov.uk and view approved Document N.

Can the etched and the enamelled panels you supply be made into double glazed units?



Yes, you will need to provide us with the thickness of the unit you require.

Can the stained glass you make be made into triple glazed units?



Yes, you will need to provide us with the thickness of the unit you require.

Does the stained and etched glass you supply fade in ultra violet light/sunlight?



No, victrous enamel are fired at 580°C (melting point of glass) The enamels have been used in Church Windows for thousands of years and are ultra violet stable.

If we order glass off you and have it sent via courier is it insured?



No, it is not insured but if you open the parcel on the day your glass is delivered and report that it is broken we will replace the glass FOC. We have been sending glass via courier for several years and we have had very few breakage’s! as we box the glass up very well and we are confidant it will reach you in one piece.

What are your lead times for the standard etched glass?



2-4 weeks from the date ordered and payment received.

What are your lead times for the standard etched glass with fired enamel inlaid?



2-4 weeks from the date ordered and payment received.

What are your lead times for the standard enamelled panels?



3-4 weeks from the date ordered and payment received.

What are your lead times for the Stained glass (Leaded-Lights)?



4-6 weeks from the date ordered and payment received

* We do not manufacture any of the doors! All guaranties held with the doors are supplied by the Manufacturer of the door, please follow the instructions the door manufacturer supplies for hanging and sealing the doors for them to comply with the warranty/ guaranty the Manufacturer supplies.

* The majority of glass supplied is hand made, so no responsibility can be accepted for seeds, cords or variations in tone. This variation, and the fact that every item is hand made, means each item is individual.

* When ordering any glass off our website please make sure you provide the correct sizes including the correct tolerances. We can not take any responsibility for sizes that have been provided incorrectly! Information on glass sizes can be found on our MEASURE UP page, or if you require any further information on measuring up please contact us we are always here to help.

* These items are hand made stained & etched glass cut to the customers/consumers own size, these items are exempt under the distance selling regulations.

* Orders are to be confirmed in writing via. fax, e-mail or post, and orders will not be processed until this written confirmation is received.

* Orders cannot be processed until payment is received in full, all items remain the property of Knowsley Art Glass LTD until payment is received in full for goods and services provided.

* Payment options we accept Cash, Cheque payments and card payments over the phone or in store.

* If you require delivery via courier we ask that you open the package upon delivery and report to us if there are any damaged panels we will accept responsibility of the damaged panels if they are reported as soon as the parcel has been delivered, but the damaged must be reported within the day of receipt of your items. We take great care in packaging our glass for safe delivery to you, however couriers can sometimes handle them without due care and therefore on the very rare occasion the goods may arrive broken or damaged! We will require photographic evidence of damage on receipt of the goods prior to unwrapping then a photograph of the damage inside after they have been unwrapped. If the packaging is damaged please open carefully to check if the goods are in good condition. Please also record on the delivery note when signing for your goods, any damage to packaging! If an item arrives broken we will replace it in full at no extra cost as long as it reported damaged/broken on the date it has been delivered.

* Estimated lead times are given on orders in good faith, however on very rare occasions the time scale may be exceeded. We will be sure to keep you informed if this happens.

We will only issue refunds when we are unable to immediately replace the items ordered.
