Etched Glass.
Etched glass manufactured and supplied by Art Glass.
Our etched glass panels are made by masking of certain areas of the glass, then putting the glass panel through a sandblasting machine, once the mask is cleaned off the glass, we are left with some clear areas, and other etched areas on the surface of the glass.
Our glass workshop creates various etched glass panel designs, some of these are our standard etched glass victorian designs, which you will find on this page.
Repeat Patterns.
Etched glass transmits light it can even make the darkest of rooms look bright, above you'll find pictures of a plant placed behind some etched glass, this is to give you an idea levels of obscurity they provide.
These glass designs are regularly applied to glass stock sheets, so when a customer approaches us looking for some cost effective obscure glass and etched glass options we are able to take the etched glass stock sheet out of the glass rack, cut the etched glass panel to the customer sizes, then we toughen the etched glass so it's ready to send out to the customer.
The Victorian Repeat Pattern Etched Glass is made in 1220x1070mm stock sheets or may be supplied cut to size and toughened, to comply with current saftey regulations.
Standard glass thickness is 4mm, special orders can be made for 6mm.
We can also make your glass into double glazed units.

This is a saftey regulation and we cannot by law send it by post un-toughened.
Alternativley if require annealed glass you can collect it from our premises yourself, but please be aware if the glass is placed somewhere and a person has a chance of falling into it, it is required to be toughened by law.
Though we do have a range of etched glass designs, we also offer a bespoke etched glass service.
For example, if you have a design that you can't see on our website,
an ornate etched glass design, or vintage etched glass design that is broken, but want you want the broken glass design remade to match an exisitng etched glass panel,
we will recreate the broken etched glass panel back to its former glory, ensuring the etched glass matches the orginal broken piece to the best of our ability.
