We are often approached by customers requesting house numbers for fanlights, two of the most popular choices are stained glass house numbers, or etched glass house numbers.
A customer from Hanover, Brighton wanted to go with a house number made out of stained glass.
First of all for this project we talked to the customer about what kind of stained glass design they wanted and sent some glass design ideas over with glass colour palletes.
With the customer wanting to go with an stained glass geometric design, we wanted to the glass house number to really have an impact on the rest of the glass.
We showed them some of our etched flash glass & enamel coloured etched glass.
As you can see from the two videos below, there is quite a difference between the two house numbers.
The first is etched into flash glass, leaving a raised effect on the glass. This is quite prominent in not only the design but the colour is of a richer substance.
The second is our enamel print screened onto the glass and then sanblasted, although the colour is not as prominent as the first, it really has its own effect and colouring.
The customer wanted to go with the red flash glass with etched, once we tied the whole stained glass panel together we were very pleased with the outcome, and think it makes a great impact on the front of the customers home.
